Two pairs of hands, one kilometre of cord
Motuzka started with a single bag made for myself — because nothing in the shops survived both the office and a Saturday market. Then friends asked for one, then strangers on Instagram.
Today we work from a home studio in Rivne. No factory floor, no subcontractors: one person makes a bag from the first coil to the last knot — and it is that person who later sees it in someone else's Instagram.
From a coil of cord to a finished bag
Choosing the cord
Cotton cord, 5 mm, one batch per bag — otherwise the two sides end up in different shades.
Stitching the body
Coil after coil, in a spiral. Dense stitching is what lets the bag hold its shape with no frame inside.
Adding the hardware
Zip, leather straps, label. All hand-stitched — nothing is glued on.
Checking and packing
We leave the finished bag loaded for a day to see whether any coil pulls. Then a photo for you, and off it goes.
Why cotton cord
If nothing here is yours, we will make exactly what you picture
Describe the shape, colour and size — we prepare a sketch within a day; making takes 7–10 days.
